AUDREY GIBSON

Audrey Gibson is a dancer & choreographer based out of Denver, CO. She currently teaches at Streetside Dance, TCDC, Shelly True Dance Academy, and Dancespace and performs with Rogue Co Dance Company & Whole Milk Dance Crew. She has been teaching for 12 years in the Boulder/Denver area in Colorado Springs, Florida, Los Angeles, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Nebraska and South Dakota.

 

Her choreography & crew won the 8150 Urban Dance Challenge two times in a row, performed in the Vail Dance Festival twice, and won Verve Dance Competition 4 times in a row. She was selected by Redbull to compete in their ‘Dance Your Style’ competition in both Los Angeles and in Denver. Other credits include Monsters of Hip Hop the Cast, Imprint Events Group, Miley Cyrus and Will.I.Am, Jeremy Thurber, Coolio, Sugar Hill Gang, Bunheads, and Revolution Dance Company.

 

Audrey specializes in popping, locking, breaking and hip hop, while also training in contemporary and jazz. She believes in a fundamentalist approach and from there, has cultivated her own personal style, which fuses the multiple hip hop disciplines that she trains in. Dancing to evoke emotion and to tell a story with movement, while maintaining a recognizable movement quality is her ultimate goal.
